Using a 1 ton mini excavator is pretty straightforward. Here are some simple steps to guide you through the process.
Step 1. Get familiar with the machine.
Familiarize the excavator functions and its controls. Check for any safety features and read the operator’s manual.
Step 2. Start the Excavator.
Start the engine. Please be reminded with the controls for moving forward, backward, turning and stopping.
Step 3. Adjust the Seat and Mirrors.
Adjust the seat to a comfortable position and also the mirrors, for a better visibility.
Step 4. Operate the Arm and Bucket
Use the joystick or control and move the boom and bucket. Get hands-on practice for lifting, lowering, and swinging the boom. Remember to practice in an open area.
Step 5. Practice Digging.
Drive the excavator close to the digging site. Lower the bucket to the ground and control the bucket to dig into the soil.
Step 6. Loading Materials.
Once you’ve scooped up material with the bucket, lift it and move it to a different location. Practice the process a few times.
Step 7. Practice Turning.
Practice turning the excavator and operating it around obstacles.
Step 8. Shut down the Machine.
Once you’ve practiced all basic functions, park the excavator on flat ground. Lower the boom and bucket to the ground. Turn off the engine and remove the key.
Step 9. Basic Maintenance.
Check fuel and oil levels, refueling them when necessary. Keep the tracks clean and inspect the excavator for any visible problems.
