> Large capacity fuel tank for long working hours.
> Small excavator has a large toolbox for easy storage of spare parts.
> More extended service and maintenance intervals: using high-quality components extends the service life and reduces the maintenance time of the machine.
Choosing a Compact Excavator
With over 20 models of small and compact excavators, we’re here to guide you through how to choose a compact excavator.
First, ask yourself what kind of tasks you need them to perform. Every job site has unique demands. Also, think about any upcoming new business opportunities. You may also need more attachments to achieve it.
Deciding on Sizes>> A slightly larger machine can quickly dig a trench and move a vast amount of materials at once. While a smaller one may be a better fit if you work in confined areas like residential properties.
Deciding on Tail Swing Configuration>> Zero tail swing allows more restricted rotation when working close to structures or against walls. However, if you work in open areas without space restraints, a standard tail swing works just fine.

Small Excavator Hot Topics
To identify the causes of excavator overheating, please inspect the following areas:
1. Radiator Check. The hydraulic system radiator and the water tank radiator may get clogged with dust and debris due to the excavator’s continuous operation in harsh environments. Pay special attention to the hydraulic system radiator, which is located behind the water tank. If the excavator is exposed for a long time, debris may accumulate and block it.
2. Cylinder Head Gasket Inspection. Monitor the water tank’s water during the entire system operation. If you notice air bubbles, it may indicate a problem with the cylinder head gasket.
3. Pump Operation Check. After running the pump, manually squeeze the pipes. If you feel resistance, it indicates that the pump is functioning properly. If it is easy to squeeze, there might be issues with the pump’s circulation system.
4. Inspection of the Water Tank Cap. Check if the cap is damaged, which can cause increased temperature. The tightness of the tank can lead to water entering the circulation system, resulting in higher temperatures.
5. Check the Thermostat. Verify if the temperature controller is functioning correctly and not stuck. Typically, it is removed during the summer season.
6. Inspection of Fan Speed. Ensure the fan speed is adequate and matches the engine’s rotational pulley. Insufficient fan speed can be a significant cause of temperature increase. Also, inspect the fuel pump.
At YUFAN, we understand the importance of driver comfort, especially in hot weather. We offer various solutions to address this concern:
1. YFT08 Excavator:
The YFT08 model does not support the installation of a closed cab. However, it features an open cab design. It allows for natural ventilation. Making it suitable for warmer weather conditions.
2. YFT10, YFT12, and YFT15 Excavators:
These models can be equipped with a closed cab. Protecting from the elements. The front and side windows in the cab are designed to be openable. Allowing for increased airflow when needed.
In addition, we offer the option to install electric fans inside the cab to enhance ventilation. Due to power constraints, we do not recommend adding air conditioning units for these models.
3. Excavator over 1.8 Ton:
The YFT18 excavator supports the installation of an air conditioning unit. Ensuring a comfortable operating environment, even in the hottest weather conditions.
Rest assured that YUFAN’s range of excavator models is designed to offer flexibility and adaptability to varying weather conditions. Whether you choose an open cab model with natural ventilation or a closed cab model with openable windows, we are committed to providing equipment that aligns with your comfort. If you have any questions about the climate control features of our excavators, please feel free to contact us for further help.
When choosing an excavator, it is important to consider the following factors:
Digging Depth and Width. Determine the required depth and width for excavation to select the appropriate arm length and bucket width.
Working Area. Consider whether the working area is in a larger open or confined space. Choose a model and weight range accordingly.
Additional Configurations. Evaluate other equipment configurations, such as cabins, air conditioning, and lighting. For specific requirements, contact the manufacturer’s customer service.
Excavation Material. Determine if the excavation material is soft, hard, or gravel. This will help you choose the appropriate attachment, such as a rock breaker or crusher.
Long-Term Operation. Consider the excavator’s long-term operational requirements and select the suitable excavator for various applications.
Engine Efficiency and Working Time. Verify the longest working time matching the engine’s efficiency.
Small household excavators are designed to be compact and lightweight for easy maneuverability. They typically weigh between 1 to 5 tons excavator and have relatively compact dimensions that make them suitable for residential use.
