Generally, the bucket’s side blade, bottom plate, side plate, and tooth root are places with regular wear and tear. So regular checks are necessary. And we must strengthen these areas with reinforcement.

Tooth root reinforcement. Mounting the plate is an essential precaution. During daily operations, the tooth can be severely damaged in the long run without reinforcement.
Two solutions can be adapted to reinforce this area.

The first one is to apply reinforcement bars. The second is to wrap wear blocks.

Please take note that the first method is easy and economical. However, avoid overlap welding with the tooth root because it weakens the welding strength.

Side plates and side reinforcements. Sometimes, wear-and-tear on the side plates can reduce the effective bucket capacity and productivity. As the sides are not highly affected, they need not be reinforced.

Bottom plate reinforcement. The bottom plate is the area where wear and tear is more serious. It’s important to add reinforcement. The protective material should be made of tough and resistant plates to maintain the bucket’s overall shape and not affect the cutting angle and production capacity. It’s a good sustainable approach that you choose discarded chain plates as reinforcement materials. Please follow the direction of the original mechanical reinforcement plate welding, and overlap on two plates.
